Method

Prepare the Beef Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cook the Patties

  1. 3

    Heat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly grease the grill grates or skillet with oil.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them over. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Assemble the Burgers

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the brioche buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 6

    Assemble with Toppings

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf. Then, add the cooked beef patty with melted cheese on top. Slice the tomato and place a few slices on top of the cheese. Drizzle with ketchup and mustard to taste, then cover with the top half of the bun.
