Fried Chicken Tenders

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breasts into tenders and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In one bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and eggs. In another bowl, mix the flour and cornstarch. Set both bowls next to each other.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dip each chicken tender into the buttermilk mixture, then coat in the flour mixture. Shake off any excess flour.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Tenders

Carefully place the breaded chicken tenders in the hot oil, frying in batches if necessary. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

  6. 6

    Drain and Serve

Remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Serve hot with housemade BBQ and bleu cheese dressing on the side.
