Method

Cooking the Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil the Water

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Use approximately 1 tablespoon of salt for every 4 liters of water.

  2. 2

    Cook the Spaghetti

Once the water is boiling, add the spaghetti. Cook according to the package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally.

  3. 3

    Drain the Pasta

Once cooked, drain the spaghetti in a colander and set aside. Do not rinse.

Preparing the Seafood and Sauce

  1. 4

    Heat the Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.

  2. 5

    Sauté the Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  3. 6

    Add the Cherry Tomatoes

Stir in the halved cherry tomatoes and cook for about 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.

  4. 7

    Deglaze with White Wine

Pour in the white wine and scrape any bits stuck to the bottom of the skillet. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.

  5. 8

    Add the Seafood

Add the shrimp, mussels, and calamari to the skillet. Season with chili flakes, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the seafood is cooked through and mussels have opened.

  6. 9

    Combine with Pasta

Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss everything together gently. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.

  7. 10

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, stir in the chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
