Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it's ready for baking.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Muffin Pan

Grease a muffin tin with cooking spray or line with paper liners to prevent sticking.

Mixing

  1. 3

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  2. 4

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, combine the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract. Whisk until fully blended.

  3. 5

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as it can make the muffins tough.

Add-ins and Baking

  1. 6

    Fold in Optional Add-ins

If using, gently fold in the blueberries, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.

  2. 7

    Fill Muffin Tins

Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about two-thirds full.

  3. 8

    Bake

Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cooling

  1. 9

    Cool the Muffins

Once baked, remove the muffin tin from the oven and allow the muffins to cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
