Prepare the Glass
Begin by selecting a highball glass or a cocktail shaker. If using a glass, fill it with ice cubes to chill while you prepare the cocktail.

Mix Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of vodka, 3 oz of orange juice, and 0.5 oz of lime juice. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to mix and chill the ingredients.

Layer the Grenadine
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice. Slowly pour 0.5 oz of grenadine down the side of the glass. It will sink to the bottom, creating a beautiful layered effect reminiscent of a sunset.

Garnish and Serve
Garnish your Imperial Sunset cocktail with a slice of orange on the rim and a maraschino cherry on top. Serve immediately with a straw or a stirrer.
