Method
Preparation of Chicken Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Breading Stations
Set up three shallow bowls for the breading process. In the first bowl, add the all-purpose flour mixed with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. In the second bowl, beat the eggs. In the third bowl, add the breadcrumbs.
- 2
Coat the Chicken Tenderloins
Take each chicken tenderloin, first coat it in the flour mixture, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs. Make sure each piece is evenly coated.
Cooking the Chicken Tenders
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or frying pan, pour in the vegetable oil and heat it over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can check the temperature by dropping a breadcrumb into the oil; it should sizzle immediately.
- 4
Fry the Chicken Tenders
Carefully place the breaded chicken tenderloins into the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 5
Drain and Rest
Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
