Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Dice the country ham, green bell pepper, and onions. Shred the cheddar cheese and set aside.

  2. 2

    Grill the Onions

In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the diced onions and sauté until they are soft and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the onions from the skillet and set aside.

Cooking the Omelet

  1. 3

    Whisk the Eggs

In a bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them until well combined. Add salt and black pepper to taste.

  2. 4

    Cook the Omelet

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter and heat over medium-low heat. Pour in the beaten eggs, tilting the pan to spread them evenly.

  3. 5

    Add Fillings

As the edges begin to set, sprinkle the diced country ham, green bell pepper, grilled onions, and shredded cheddar cheese evenly over one half of the omelet.

  4. 6

    Fold and Serve

Once the eggs are mostly set but slightly runny on top, use a spatula to carefully fold the omelet in half over the fillings. Cook for an additional minute, then slide the omelet onto a plate. Serve hot.
