Preparation of Topping

Chop Tomatoes
Dice the Roma tomatoes into small cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.

Mince Garlic
Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves. Add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

Prepare Basil
Wash the fresh basil leaves, pat them dry, and chop them coarsely. Add to the bowl.

Mix Topping
Drizzle 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil over the tomato mixture. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and black pepper to taste. Gently toss all ingredients together until well combined.
Toasting Bread

Slice Baguette
Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Toast Bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and place them in the oven. Toast for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Top Bread
Remove the toasted bread from the oven. Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each slice of toasted baguette.
