Mash the Grains
Heat 6 gallons of water to 165°F (74°C). Add the crushed grains and maintain the mash temperature at 152°F (67°C) for 60 minutes.
Sparge
After mashing, sparge the grains with hot water (170°F/77°C) to collect about 6 gallons of wort.
Boil the Wort
Bring the wort to a boil and add the bittering hops. Boil for 60 minutes.
Add Aroma Hops
In the last 5 minutes of the boil, add the aroma hops.
Cool the Wort
Cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller or an ice bath to around 70°F (21°C).
Pitch the Yeast
Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermenter and pitch the yeast.
Fermentation
Seal the fermenter and let it ferment at around 68°F (20°C) for 1-2 weeks.
Bottling
Once fermentation is complete, dissolve priming sugar in a small amount of water, add it to the beer, and bottle it.
Conditioning
Let the bottles condition at room temperature for 1-2 weeks before refrigerating and enjoying.
