Simmer the Stew
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for 2 hours or until beef is tender.

Add Peas
About 10 minutes before serving, stir in the frozen peas and let them heat through.
Side Dish - Colcannon Potatoes

Mash Potatoes
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the cooked cabbage, milk, green onions, remaining butter, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with additional green onions if desired.
Dessert - Irish Soda Bread

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

Add Wet Ingredients
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add buttermilk and beaten egg. Stir until just combined.

Fold in Raisins
Gently fold in raisins or currants.

Shape and Bake
Turn the dough onto a floured surface, shape into a round loaf, and place on a baking sheet. Cut a deep cross into the top of the loaf. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
