Crab Cakes
Method
Preparation
- 1
Make the Crab Cakes
In a large bowl, combine lump crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, chopped green onions, bread crumbs, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to combine without breaking up the crab meat too much.
- 2
Form the Cakes
Shape the mixture into 4 equal patties. Place them on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow them to firm up.
- 3
Prepare the Dill Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, fresh dill, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- 4
Cook the Crab Cakes
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully add the crab cakes and fry for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- 5
- 6
Serve
Serve the crab cakes hot with dill sauce and the choice of prepared potatoes.
