Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, five-spice powder, red food coloring (if using), minced garlic, minced ginger, and rice vinegar. Mix well until the honey is fully dissolved.
- 2
Marinate the Pork
Add the pork tenderloin to the marinade. Ensure the pork is completely submerged. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight for the best flavor.

Grill the Pork
Remove the pork from the marinade, letting the excess marinade drip off. Place the pork on the grill and cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Brush with leftover marinade during the last few minutes of grilling for added flavor.

Rest and Slice
Once cooked, remove the pork from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. Then, slice the pork thinly against the grain.
