Omelet and Sides

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Sausage

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and fully cooked. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Gravy

In a saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add 30 grams of flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in 250 ml of water, then add the sausage gravy mix and cook until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Potatoes

In a separate pot, boil the diced potatoes until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Omelet

In a bowl, whisk together the 3 eggs, salt, and pepper. In a non-stick skillet, pour in the egg mixture and cook over medium heat. Once the edges start to set, add the cooked sausage and shredded cheddar cheese. Fold the omelet in half and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the omelet on a plate, alongside the buttermilk biscuit and pour the sausage gravy over the biscuit. Serve the boiled potatoes on the side.
