Caramel Sauce Ingredients
Method
Caramel Sauce Directions
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all the ingredients and measure them out for easy access.
- 2
Melt the Sugar
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the granulated sugar. Stir constantly with a wooden spoon until the sugar melts and turns a deep amber color.
- 3
Add Butter
Once the sugar is melted, carefully add the unsalted butter. The mixture will bubble up, so be cautious. Stir until the butter is completely melted and combined.
- 4
Incorporate Heavy Cream
Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously. The mixture will bubble again, but keep stirring until smooth.
- 5
Add Vanilla and Salt
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Mix well until fully combined.
- 6
Cool and Store
Allow the caramel sauce to cool slightly before transferring it to a jar or container. It can be served warm or stored in the refrigerator for later use.
