Strudel Dough Preparation

Make Dough
In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. In a separate bowl, mix together the water, vegetable oil, and vinegar. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the flour mixture, stirring until a dough forms.

Knead Dough
On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it is smooth and elastic. Cover the dough with a towel and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.

Prepare Apples
In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss until the apples are coated evenly.

Add Raisins and Nuts
Stir in the raisins and chopped walnuts to the apple mixture.

Roll Out Dough
On a floured cloth, roll out the dough as thin as possible, about 20x30 inches.

Roll Strudel
Starting from one end, carefully roll the strudel up, tucking in the sides as you go. Place the rolled strudel seam-side down on a baking sheet.

Bake Strudel
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the strudel for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serving

Dust with Sugar
Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Dust the strudel with powdered sugar.

Cut the strudel into slices and serve warm with scoops of vanilla ice cream.
