Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Caramelize the Onions

Slice the onions thinly. In a skillet over medium heat, add a tablespoon of oil and the sliced onions. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are deep golden brown and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Wagyu Patty

In the same skillet, increase the heat to high. Season the wagyu patty with salt and pepper. Once the skillet is hot, place the patty in the skillet and let it cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side without pressing down.

  3. 3

    Smash the Patty

Using a spatula, smash the patty down to create a crispy crust. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until a nice sear forms. Add the slice of American cheese on top and cover the skillet for about 1 minute to melt the cheese.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the burger bun if desired. Spread the Belmont sauce on the bottom bun, add the lettuce, followed by the smashed wagyu patty with melted cheese. Top with caramelized onions and house pickles, then place the top bun.
