Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the cavatappi pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Sauté the Shrimp
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the jumbo shrimp and season with salt and black pepper. Cook until the shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- 3
Prepare the Sauce
In the same skillet, add the gochujang and vodka. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the alcohol to evaporate. Stir in the heavy cream and let it simmer for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- 4
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked cavatappi pasta to the skillet with the sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. Add the sautéed shrimp and grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until everything is well combined. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- 5
Serve
Serve immediately, garnished with fresh chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
