Brussels Sprouts with Balsamic Glaze
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Cut the sprouts in half.
- 2
Season the Sprouts
In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until well coated.
- 3
Roast the Sprouts
Spread the Brussels sprouts out on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and tender, stirring halfway through.
- 4
Make the Balsamic Glaze
While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, combine balsamic vinegar and honey in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the mixture has thickened slightly.
- 5
Combine and Serve
Once the Brussels sprouts are done, remove them from the oven and drizzle the balsamic glaze over them. Toss to combine, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
