Beef Smash Patty

Prepare the Beef
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into loose balls.

Cook the Patties
Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Place the beef balls onto the skillet and smash them down with a spatula to form patties. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned on one side, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Prepare the Ribeye
Season the shaved ribeye steak with salt and black pepper. Set aside.

Assemble the Burger

Layer the Burger
On the bottom half of the pretzel bun, place one beef smash patty. Top it with a slice of American cheese, followed by a portion of the sautéed onions and peppers, and then the cooked shaved ribeye steak. Drizzle cheese whiz over the top and finish with the top half of the pretzel bun.
