Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and chopped fresh rosemary. Rub this mixture all over the ribeye steaks. Allow the steaks to marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Once hot, place the marinated steaks on the grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

French Fries Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch wide. Rinse the cut potatoes in cold water to remove excess starch and then pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large heavy-bottomed pot or a deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer to check the oil temperature for accurate frying.

  3. 5

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the cut potatoes to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  4. 6

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
