Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon strips over medium heat until they are crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Remove from heat and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

  2. 2

    Roast the Onions

While the bacon is cooking, slice red onions and roast them in the same skillet for 5-7 minutes until they are caramelized and tender. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Tomato

Wash and slice the medium tomato into thick slices.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Lettuce

Wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Tear them into manageable pieces if necessary.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Layer the Ingredients

On a serving plate or sandwich, start by spreading the Russian dressing evenly. Then layer the lettuce, followed by the sliced tomato, roasted red onions, crispy bacon, pickle slices, and finally, sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top.

  2. 6

    Finish and Serve

Drizzle a little extra Russian dressing on top if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy your McBarley!
