Method

Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, crushed black peppercorns, salt, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined. Shape the mixture into two equal patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Burger Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

Potato Cake

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potato Cake Mixture

In a large bowl, mix the grated potatoes, beaten egg, flour, salt, and pepper until well combined.

  2. 4

    Cook the Potato Cakes

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Scoop about 1/4 cup of the potato mixture into the pan and flatten slightly. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Repeat with remaining mixture.

Burger Assembly

  1. 5

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon strips over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 6

    Fry the Egg

In the same skillet, fry an egg to your liking (sunny-side up or over-easy).

  3. 7

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each burger bun, layer lettuce, the cooked potato cake, the burger patty, bacon, cheddar cheese, and fried egg. Drizzle with buffalo sauce and top with a slice of tomato and the other half of the bun.
