Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Cut them in half lengthwise.
- 2
Cook the Bacon
In a large skillet, cook the applewood smoked bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place it on paper towels to drain. Reserve about 2 tablespoons of the bacon grease in the skillet.
- 3
Roast the Garlic
In the same skillet, add the garlic cloves and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the garlic and set aside.
Cooking
- 4
Fry the Brussels Sprouts
In the skillet with reserved bacon grease, add the halved Brussels sprouts cut side down. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, until they are golden brown and crispy. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- 5
Make the Roasted Garlic Lemon Aioli
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, roasted garlic (minced), lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth.
- 6
Combine Ingredients
Once the Brussels sprouts are cooked, crumble the crispy bacon and add it to the skillet along with the crushed walnuts. Toss gently to combine.
- 7
Serve
Transfer the Brussels sprouts to a serving plate, top with shaved Parmesan cheese, and serve with the roasted garlic lemon aioli on the side.
