Method

Prepare the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into burger patties.

Cook the Mushrooms

  1. 3

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5 minutes until they start to soften.

  2. 4

    Add Bourbon and Seasonings

Pour in the bourbon, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Sprinkle black pepper over the mixture. Stir well and cook for another 3-5 minutes until mushrooms are fully cooked and coated in glaze.

Cook the Burger Patties

  1. 5

    Grill or Pan-Fry

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  2. 6

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover until melted.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns if desired.

  2. 8

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, spread 1 tablespoon of mustard. Add a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted cheese, bourbon mushrooms, crumbled bacon, and a slice of tomato.

  3. 9

    Finish the Burger

Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
