Burger Patty

Toppings

Crispy O's

Method

Prepare the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground bison, ground coffee, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick.

Cook the Bacon

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Once cooked, remove from skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

Cook the Burger Patties

  1. 4

    Grill or Pan-Fry

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the bison patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  2. 5

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cover the grill or skillet to melt the cheese.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 7

    Add the Toppings

Spread BBQ sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, and the bison patty with melted cheese on top. Add 1-2 slices of bacon on each burger and top with the other half of the bun.

Prepare the Crispy O's

  1. 8

    Serve

In a small bowl, serve the crispy O's cereal on the side or sprinkle them over the burger for added crunch.
