Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Beat the Eggs

In a mixing bowl, crack the 3 eggs. Add 1 tsp of salt and 0.5 tsp of black pepper. Whisk the ingredients together until well combined and slightly frothy.

  2. 2

    Prepare Fillings

Choose your desired fillings from the options provided. If using fresh vegetables (bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes), chop them into small, uniform pieces. For cheese, shred or chop as needed. If using cooked ham, dice it into small pieces.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a non-stick skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat until it starts to bubble. Ensure the butter coats the bottom of the pan evenly.

  2. 4

    Cook the Omelette Base

Pour the beaten egg mixture into the skillet. Allow the eggs to cook undisturbed for about 1-2 minutes, until the edges start to set.

  3. 5

    Add Fillings

Once the edges are set but the center is still slightly runny, sprinkle your chosen fillings evenly over one half of the omelette. Allow it to cook for another minute until the fillings begin to warm up and the eggs are mostly set.

  4. 6

    Fold and Serve

Using a spatula, gently fold the omelette in half over the fillings. Cook for an additional 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until the inside is cooked to your liking. Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve immediately.
