Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all your ingredients. If using vegetables or meats as fillings, ensure they are prepped and ready to use (diced, chopped, or sliced as needed).

Cooking the Omelet

  1. 2

    Whisk the Eggs

In a bowl, crack 3 eggs and add 1 tsp of salt and 0.5 tsp of pepper. Whisk together until the mixture is uniform and slightly frothy.

  2. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a non-stick skillet, heat 1 tbs of butter over medium heat until melted and bubbly.

  3. 4

    Cook the Eggs

Pour the whisked eggs into the skillet. Allow the eggs to cook undisturbed for about 1-2 minutes until they start to set around the edges.

  4. 5

    Add Fillings

Once the edges are set, gently lift the edges of the omelet with a spatula to allow uncooked egg to flow underneath. Add your choice of fillings evenly over one half of the omelet.

  5. 6

    Fold the Omelet

When the eggs are set but still slightly moist on top, carefully fold the omelet in half over the fillings. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the inside is cooked through and the cheese (if used) is melted.

  6. 7

    Serve

Slide the omelet onto a plate, cut in half if desired, and serve warm. Enjoy your customized omelet!
