Method

Brew the Tea

    Boil the Water

    In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

    Steep the Tea

    Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add the 4 black tea bags. Let them steep for about 5-7 minutes depending on your desired strength.

    Remove Tea Bags

    After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the pot and discard them.

Sweeten the Tea (optional)

    Add Sweetener

    If desired, stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar or honey while the tea is still warm, until fully dissolved.

Add Flavorings (optional)

    Incorporate Flavor

    If using, add 1 cup of fresh lemon juice and fresh mint leaves to the brewed tea, stirring well to combine.

Cool the Tea

    Chill the Tea

    Allow the brewed tea to cool to room temperature, then transfer to the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours until chilled.

Serve the Iced Tea

    Prepare for Serving

    In a glass, add 2 cups of ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice.

    Garnish

    Garnish with lemon slices and additional mint leaves if desired.
