Burger Patty

Toppings

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center to help it cook evenly.

  3. 3

    Cook Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 4

    Slice Tomato and Onion

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato and onion into thin rings.

  2. 5

    Prepare Lettuce

Wash the lettuce leaves and pat dry. Set aside.

  3. 6

    Make Special Sauce

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and a dash of mustard to create your special sauce (adjust quantities to taste).

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

    Toast the Bun

Lightly toast the brioche bun on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 8

    Layer Ingredients

Spread the special sauce on the bottom half of the bun. Layer with lettuce, followed by the cooked burger patty, tomato slices, onion rings, and finally the top half of the bun.
