Method
Marinade Preparation
Prepare the Marinade
In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, black pepper, and salt to taste. This will be used to marinate the beef.
Marinate the Beef
Place the beef sirloin steak in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the beef, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Grilling the Beef
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, about 375°F (190°C).
Grill the Beef
Remove the beef from the marinade and discard the marinade. Place the steak on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy (135°F/57°C for medium rare).
Let the Beef Rest
Once cooked, transfer the beef to a cutting board and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Salad Assembly
Prepare the Salad Ingredients
While the beef is resting, wash and dry the mixed salad greens. Halve the cherry tomatoes, slice the cucumber, thinly slice the red onion, and dice the avocado.
Assemble the Salad
In a large bowl, combine the mixed salad greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and avocado. Toss gently to mix.
Slice the Beef
Slice the rested beef thinly against the grain.
Add Beef and Feta
Top the salad with the sliced beef and sprinkle with crumbled feta cheese.
Dressing Preparation
Prepare the Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, and salt and black pepper to taste.
Serving the Salad
Dress the Salad
Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
Serve
Serve the grilled beef salad immediately while the beef is still warm.
