Fresh-Squeezed Cherry Lemonade
Method
Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Cherries
Wash the fresh cherries under running water. Remove the stems and pits from the cherries, then place them in a blender.
- 2
Blend the Cherries
Blend the pitted cherries on high speed until you achieve a smooth puree. This should take about 1-2 minutes.
- 3
Strain the Cherry Puree
Using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain the cherry puree into a bowl to separate the juice from the pulp. Use a spatula to press down the pulp to extract as much juice as possible.
- 4
Juice the Lemons
Cut the lemons in half and use a citrus juicer to extract the juice. You should get approximately 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.
- 5
Combine Ingredients
In a large pitcher, combine the strained cherry juice, fresh lemon juice, and granulated sugar. Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- 6
Add Water
Pour in 4 cups of cold water to the pitcher and mix until well combined. Adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
- 7
Serve Over Ice
Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the cherry lemonade over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
- 8
Enjoy!
Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing fresh-squeezed cherry lemonade!
