Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until it's crispy. Remove from the skillet and let it drain on paper towels.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bison Patty

In a bowl, combine the ground bison with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into a patty.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bison Patty

In the same skillet with the bacon drippings, cook the bison patty over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired doneness.

Toppings

  1. 4

    Prepare the Jalapeños

Slice the jalapeño peppers into rings. If you prefer less heat, remove the seeds.

  2. 5

    Melt the Cheese

In the last minute of cooking the bison patty, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

Fried Egg

  1. 6

    Cook the Eggs

In a separate non-stick skillet, crack the eggs and fry them over medium heat until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, about 2-3 minutes.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Assemble the Burger

On a plate, place the cooked bison patty with melted cheese. Top with crispy bacon, jalapeño rings, a dollop of raspberry jam, and a fried egg.
