Steak and Salad Ingredients

Method

Preparation and Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the sirloin steak with salt and pepper on both sides. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Salad

While the steak is resting, chop the iceberg lettuce, romaine lettuce, and organic spring mix. Place them in a large salad bowl.

  4. 4

    Add Vegetables

Slice the cucumber and vine-ripened tomato. Add to the salad bowl along with the chopped lettuces.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Bacon

Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy. Drain on paper towels and crumble into pieces.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Salad

Add crumbled blue cheese and crumbled bacon to the salad bowl. Drizzle with balsamic reduction and toss gently.

  7. 7

    Slice the Steak

After the steak has rested, slice it against the grain into thin strips.

  8. 8

    Serve

Top the salad with the sliced steak and garnish with onion straws. Serve immediately.
