In a saucepan, combine water, white vinegar, salt, sugar, garlic cloves, mustard seeds, black peppercorns, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil, stirring until the salt and sugar dissolve.

Place the cucumber slices in sterilized jars. Add dill sprigs and garlic cloves evenly among the jars.

Pour the hot brine over the cucumbers in the jars, ensuring they are fully submerged. Leave a little space at the top.
