In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Transfer the cookie dough to a 10-inch cast iron skillet or an oven-safe skillet, spreading it evenly.

Caramel Sauce Preparation

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the granulated sugar and cook, stirring constantly until it melts into a golden liquid.
