Method
Preparing the Crust
- 1
Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 2
Prepare the crust
If using a gluten-free cauliflower crust, remove it from the packaging and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. If you're making your own, prepare the cauliflower crust according to your recipe or package instructions.
Caramelizing Onions
- 3
Cook the onions
In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown and caramelized.
Assembling the Pizza
- 4
Spread BBQ sauce
Once the crust is ready, spread 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce evenly over the surface of the crust.
- 5
Add toppings
Sprinkle the sharp provolone cheese evenly over the BBQ sauce. Then, add the fire roasted corn, crumbled bacon, and the caramelized onions on top.
Baking the Pizza
- 6
Bake
Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden.
- 7
Cool and serve
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Season with salt and black pepper to taste, then serve warm.
