Instructions
- 1
Prepare Broccoli
Wash and cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Pat dry to ensure they are not soggy.
- 2
Make Tempura Batter
In a large bowl, mix together gluten-free flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and water until smooth. The batter should be thick enough to coat the broccoli.
- 3
Heat Oil for Frying
In a deep frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Coat Broccoli
Dip each broccoli floret into the tempura batter, ensuring they are fully coated.
- 5
Fry Broccoli
Carefully place the battered broccoli florets into the hot oil. Fry in batches for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 6
Prepare Sauce
In another pan, heat the sweet chili sauce over low heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, stirring frequently for about 2-3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and slightly golden.
- 7
Combine
Toss the fried broccoli in the sweet chili garlic sauce until well coated.
- 8
Serve
Plate the Bang Bang Broccoli, garnishing with chopped scallions and sesame seeds on top. Serve immediately.
