Baklava Preparation

Prepare the Nut Mixture
In a medium bowl, combine chopped walnuts, chopped pistachios, ground cinnamon, ground cardamom, and ground cloves. Mix well and set aside.

Add Nut Filling
Spread half of the nut mixture evenly over the phyllo layers. Add 5 more phyllo sheets, brushing with butter between each layer. Spread the remaining nut mixture over the top.

Top with Phyllo
Finish by layering the remaining phyllo sheets on top, again brushing each layer with butter. Cut the baklava into diamond or square shapes before baking.

Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.

Soak the Baklava
Once the baklava is done baking, immediately pour the syrup over it, ensuring it seeps into the cuts. Allow it to cool completely before serving.
