Method

Chicken Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate Chicken

In a bowl, combine buttermilk, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Add the chicken breasts and marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

  2. 2

    Fry Chicken

Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Dredge marinated chicken in flour and fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

Waffle Preparation

  1. 3

    Make Waffle Batter

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In another bowl, beat eggs, then add milk and melted butter. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.

  2. 4

    Cook Waffles

Preheat a waffle maker and lightly grease it. Pour the batter into the waffle maker and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions until golden brown.

Maple Tahini Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Make the Sauce

In a bowl, mix tahini, maple syrup, lemon juice, and water. Adjust consistency with more water if needed and add salt to taste.

Vegetable Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare Vegetables

Sauté seasonal vegetables in olive oil over medium heat until tender. Season with salt to taste.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

On a plate, stack waffles, top with fried chicken, and drizzle with maple tahini sauce. Serve with sautéed seasonal vegetables on the side.
