Waffle Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Waffle Batter
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In another bowl, combine the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 2
Preheat the Waffle Iron
Preheat your Belgian waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 3
Cook the Waffles
Pour the appropriate amount of batter onto the preheated waffle iron. Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp, approximately 5-7 minutes. Repeat until all batter is used.
- 4
Prepare the Toppings
While the waffles are cooking, slice the bananas and strawberries. In a separate bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks form.
- 5
Assemble the Waffles
Serve the waffles warm, topped with sliced bananas, strawberries, whipped cream, and candied pecans.
