Method

Preparing the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Sriracha sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick. Make an indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.

Cooking the Burger Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or in the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and place a slice of pepper jack cheese on top of each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Preparing the Toppings

  1. 5

    Slice the Tomato

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato into thick slices.

  2. 6

    Prepare the Spicy Mayo

If you need to make spicy mayo, combine mayonnaise and a few teaspoons of Sriracha in a small bowl. Adjust to taste.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 7

    Toast the Buns

Optionally, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

  2. 8

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, a generous dollop of guacamole, and a spoonful of spicy mayo. Cover with the top half of the bun.
