Cajun Fried Chicken

Wrap Assembly

Method

Cajun Fried Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Begin by flattening the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet. This helps them cook evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Chicken

Rub Cajun seasoning evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Breading Stations

Set up three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with bread crumbs.

  4. 4

    Bread the Chicken

Coat each chicken breast in flour, dip it in the egg, and then coat it with bread crumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

  5. 5

    Fry the Chicken

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, fry the chicken breasts for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.

Wrap Assembly

  1. 6

    Cook the Bacon

In the same skillet, cook bacon until crispy, then drain on paper towels.

  2. 7

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the tomato and chop the romaine lettuce.

  3. 8

    Assemble the Wrap

On each tortilla, layer the fried chicken, crispy bacon, pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles.

  4. 9

    Add the Sauce

Drizzle honey mustard over the top of the fillings.

  5. 10

    Wrap It Up

Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it tightly from the bottom up to secure the filling.

  6. 11

    Serve

Cut the wraps in half and serve immediately, optionally with extra honey mustard on the side.
