Burger Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Wash and slice the tomato, wash and chop the lettuce, and cut the avocado in half to remove the pit and scoop out the flesh.

- 3
Make the Burger Patties
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently and form into two equal patties.
- 4
Cook the Burger Patties
In the same skillet used for bacon, add olive oil and heat over medium-high heat. Add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar jack cheese on each patty to melt.
- 5
Assemble the Burger
Toast the burger buns lightly, if desired. On the bottom half of each bun, layer the lettuce, tomato slices, and avocado. Place the cooked burger patty with melted cheese on top, followed by two slices of bacon. Top with the other half of the bun.
