Method
Burger Preparation
- 1
Form the Patty
In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently and form into a patty, about ¾ inch thick.
- 2
Cook the Patty
Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef patty for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip it.
- 3
Add Cheese
Place the slice of American cheese on top of the patty after flipping. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until cheese melts.
- 4
Assemble the Burger
Toast the burger bun if desired. Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of the bun. Top with lettuce and tomato slice, then close with the top half of the bun.
Fries Preparation
- 5
Cut the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips or wedges, ensuring they are evenly sized.
- 6
Heat the Oil
In a deep pot or fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 7
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the cut potatoes to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- 8
Drain and Season
Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt while still hot.
