Steak

Garlic Butter

Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Sprinkle both sides of the USDA Choice Sirloin Steak with salt and black pepper. Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to enhance flavor and tenderness.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill/Pan

Heat a grill or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil to the skillet just before placing the steak.

Cooking the Steak

  1. 3

    Sear the Steak

Place the seasoned steak on the hot grill or skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it.

  2. 4

    Flip the Steak

Using tongs, carefully flip the steak and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer it more done.

Making the Garlic Butter

  1. 5

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

While the steak is cooking, melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

  2. 6

    Finish the Garlic Butter

Remove from heat and stir in chopped fresh parsley, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well.

Serving

  1. 7

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove the steak from the grill/pan and let it rest for 5 minutes.

  2. 8

    Serve with Garlic Butter

Slice the steak against the grain, plate it, and drizzle the warm garlic butter over the top just before serving.
