Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Chops

Season the pork chops with salt, black pepper, cumin, and paprika. Allow them to marinate while you prepare the sauce.

  2. 2

    Chop Vegetables

Finely chop the garlic, onion, bell pepper, and tomatoes. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare Cilantro

Rinse the cilantro under cold water, pat dry, and chop roughly.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Cook the Pork Chops

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear them on both sides until golden brown (about 4-5 minutes per side). Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 5

    Make the Creole Sauce

In the same skillet, add the chopped garlic, onion, and bell pepper. Sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for another 5 minutes until the tomatoes are soft.

  3. 6

    Combine and Simmer

Return the pork chops to the skillet, and stir in the chopped cilantro. Squeeze the lime juice over the top and reduce the heat to low. Cover and let simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
