Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Veal Chop

Take the veal chop out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Marinate

In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, chopped fresh rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the veal chop and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a heavy skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook the Veal Chop

Place the marinated veal chop on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (medium-rare).

  3. 5

    Finish with Lemon

In the last minute of cooking, squeeze the juice of half a lemon over the veal chop for added flavor.

  4. 6

    Rest the Meat

Remove the veal chop from the heat and let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Serve the veal chop with your choice of sides like mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus. Garnish with lemon wedges if desired.
