Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Lobster

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the whole lobsters and cook for 8-10 minutes until they turn bright red. Remove from the pot, cool slightly, and then remove the meat from the shells, chop into bite-sized pieces, and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Seafood

In the same pot, add the shrimp, clams, and mussels. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and the clams and mussels have opened. Discard any unopened shellfish. Remove the seafood and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Pasta

In the same pot of boiling water, add spaghetti or linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Sauce

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

  2. 5

    Add Tomatoes and Wine

Pour in the crushed tomatoes and white wine. Stir well and bring to a simmer.

  3. 6

    Season

Season the sauce with salt and black pepper. Allow to simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. 7

    Combine Everything

Add the lobster, shrimp, clams, mussels, and fresh basil to the sauce. Stir gently to combine and let it simmer for another 5 minutes to heat through.

Final Assembly

  1. 8

    Serve

Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce until well coated. Serve immediately, garnished with additional fresh basil if desired.
