Cooking Suadero
- 1
Prepare the Suadero
Cut the suadero into small pieces, about 1-inch cubes.
- 2
Season the Meat
In a bowl, mix the salt, black pepper, cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this seasoning mixture onto the suadero pieces.
- 3
Cook the Suadero
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned suadero pieces and cook for about 8-10 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Make sure to stir occasionally.
- 4
Remove and Rest
Once cooked, remove the meat from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
Assembling the Dish
- 5
Warm the Tortillas
In the same skillet, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
- 6
Spread Refried Beans
On each tortilla, spread a generous amount of refried beans.
- 7
Add Suadero
Place a portion of the cooked suadero on top of the refried beans.
- 8
Top with Cheese
Crumble the queso over the suadero.
- 9
Fold and Serve
Fold the tortillas over the filling to create a taco shape. Serve immediately while hot.
