Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cucumber

Wash the cucumber thoroughly under running water. Grate the cucumber using a box grater or a food processor. Place the grated cucumber in a clean dish towel or cheesecloth and squeeze out the excess moisture. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Mince the Garlic

Peel the garlic clove and finely mince it using a knife or garlic press. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium mixing bowl, add the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, and chopped dill. Stir until well combined.

  4. 4

    Add Seasonings

In the same bowl, add the olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated and the tzatziki is smooth.

  5. 5

    Chill

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  6. 6

    Serve

Once chilled, give the tzatziki a quick stir before serving. It is ready to be enjoyed with tacos árabes or as a dip with pita bread and vegetables.
